The Web Design assignment was actually a pretty fun assignment to complete. The Weebly website is very user friendly and easy to navigate. It was fun getting to design all of the pages in any way I wanted to. I do not have any complaints about the assignment, I thought it was a fun and easy project, all of the design elements are right there with a click of a button. I will actually very likely use this site during my future career as a teacher, if it us authorized. I think it is a great way to have a place with information that can be easily accessed by parents and students, and allow an extra form of communication.

I think that Diigo is a great site for both students like myself and for teachers. It is a little complicated to use at first, but once you get the hang of it, it can be really useful. It is a great tool for both team and individual work as you can share links to websites, annotations, leave notes, and it can all be published for everyone in a group to view. In the professional teaching world, I think it would be very helpful to use among teachers who commonly work together in order to share resources and notes with others.

Because technology is so engrained in society now, it is also becoming continuously incorporated into the education community. That being said, technology is constantly advancing, so teachers really have to make an effort to keep up with all of these innovations. Professional development for teachers now includes technology workshops and learning.

She provides links to many different tools and explanations to go along with them. Her content is intended to help educators (and parents) understand different technology and resources available to them and students.

  1. Hi Kaeli! I absolutely love your website. The contrast, repetition, alignment, and proximity all flowed really well. I love the consistent colors you used as it made it very user friendly and eye catching. I also love the organization of it. Awesome job!

The teachers websites that I visited all varied, at least a little bit. Some of them had a full on website up, and some of them simply had a link to get into a google meet. A few teachers provide a small bio about themselves, and some provide newsletters for their class. Florida State University Schools elementary teachers all had a link to their Google meet class on their welcome page, an "About the Teacher" tab, a general information tab, a weekly newsletters tab, and a resources tab.  https://www.fsus.school/Page/122 I believe I will likely utilize technology for many tasks as a teacher. As technology becomes more incorporated into schools, the students will likely be using it right along with me. I found an app called Common Curriculum and it is basically a planner for teachers and their lesson plans. They provide templates for teachers to create a lesson plan with and I think it would be very helpful in staying organized.  I was very, very confused at first when try...

My initial experiences using Diigo have been fairly pleasant. I thought that I would be able to manage figuring out how to work it on my own, but I definitely had to watch the tutorial videos. I like that on Diigo we are able to share a website with a group and even annotate it so that the group can also view it, I think that will be a useful tool as a teacher. One thing that I don't love about Diigo is that when you are on the group page, it is a bit chaotic and can be confusing to see what is what.     I have really enjoyed blogging so far. I think that our blog assignments are a great way to incorporate what we are learning in class to our own understanding. I like blogging because I enjoy being able to complete my assignment while also being able to use comfortable language, and not have to be so formal. It is also fun to think that it is kind of like a little discussion with our professor every week. I have nothing bad to say about blogging, I enjoy i...
