Distance learning was very unexpected and has had its advantages and disadvantages. I have liked that in some of my classes I am able to move at my own pace and work from the comfort of my home. However, it can be very distracting when I am sitting at my computer all day with nothing else to do. It was also really disappointing for me when we moved to distance learning because I was accepted to FSU the next semester, so I have not had the opportunity to really make any friends or anything here. As a teacher, if we were doing distance learning I would go out of my way to ensure that I create personal relationships with every one of my students. Having a real connection is so beneficial and makes a learning environment more comfortable.

Open educational resources are resources meant to be accessible to any students. This helps to improve the educational community, as it benefits those who cannot afford all of their school supplies. For example, if a student is taking a class, but cannot afford the required textbook, then they may be forced to drop the class. With an open educational resource, the student could find their supplies for free and remain in the class. Edutopia is a website that provides an explanation as to what open educational resources are and also explains how to find them, and even provides links to different resources.

I actually learned a lot of new skills while working on the last two PowerPoint assignments. I learned how to record myself presenting my presentation, which will come in handy as a teacher. For that assignment I liked the flow of my presentation, but I felt pressured while I recorded myself and had to start over quite a few times. On my second PowerPoint I learned how to link different slides to a certain slide, so they all link to each other. I did not like the repetitive process of having to embed a link into each slide, but it did not take as long as I thought it would.

The teachers websites that I visited all varied, at least a little bit. Some of them had a full on website up, and some of them simply had a link to get into a google meet. A few teachers provide a small bio about themselves, and some provide newsletters for their class. Florida State University Schools elementary teachers all had a link to their Google meet class on their welcome page, an "About the Teacher" tab, a general information tab, a weekly newsletters tab, and a resources tab.  https://www.fsus.school/Page/122 I believe I will likely utilize technology for many tasks as a teacher. As technology becomes more incorporated into schools, the students will likely be using it right along with me. I found an app called Common Curriculum and it is basically a planner for teachers and their lesson plans. They provide templates for teachers to create a lesson plan with and I think it would be very helpful in staying organized.  I was very, very confused at first when try...
